The Zombies!
Bong of the Dead is not your normal zombie movie and neither are the actors that play the zombie characters.

Zombies of Bong of the Dead
The bulk of actors playing zombie characters in Bong of the Dead are not really zombies. Hard to believe eh? But it's true.
When it comes to creating the awesome gore effects for the walking dead, Mike Field uses his imagination to the fullest extent to ensure that each zombie looks different from the next. Surrounded by a talented team of make-up artists he is able to "flesh" out the concept for each zombie, then work with his assistants to finalize the looks. We all know that zombies movies are a genre that never dies!
Production Note
Over the course of two days of intensive filming, an amazing 800 plus gallons of blood were used as zombies were being slain by a variety of unique weapons. Using fire hoses to dispense the red sticky liquid ensured mass coverage when it came to blooding up the young cast as well as the twenty something extras who came out just to be killed as zombies for the sake of the movie. The film is sure to turn heads and make gore fans talk once they see the amount of carnage captured on film. This movie will appeal to anyone who loves beautiful cinematic shots as well as blood, guts and gore with a comedic undertone and lots of action. Local Film Industry giant, Holly North who is known for always reaching out a helping hand to the Indie Film makers also came through by donating massive amounts of movie blood to the production for their overly bloody finale battle sequences.
Top notch Special FX make-up artists such as Mike Fields and his dedicated team of specialized artists and others such as FX Gurus, and Brant-FX got involved in order to help BOTD achieve its over the top Major Hollywood blockbuster look and feel. This movie will not be for the faint of heart.
